KP trumpet
Got my order in today on a Malaysian Blackwood trumpet from Kenny. Great guy, who makes a great call. Mine is on the right. It will have a copper acrylic mp. Hope to break it in in Alabama.

Very nice! Love my cocobolo from him. Already on his 19 list!

Re: KP trumpet
You almost didn’t get that one! I was over there a couple weeks ago and that was one that I had my eye on. It’s a pretty piece of wood. Ended up staying with my initial choice of mud cured Osage. I’ll post a pic when I get it.
He can sure run one, Tom. You should hear him now. And maybe you have. He’s been working for months on adding rasp. Almost sounds like he’s running a dang mouth call. It’s pretty awesome. He couldn’t really explain it to me, but he sure could run it.

Re: KP trumpet
I've been wanting to get a nice trumpet to fool around with. Where can I get one of these? The only place i've seen other trumpet calls is on Midwest Turkey Call and i don't know enough about them.

Thanks. Looks like it may be right in my backyard!
Re: KP trumpet
I am on the 2019 list for mud cured Osage already. Kenny built my cocobolo last year in plans on keeping it. When he sent me the picture of it last year I named her the "Senorita". Well he never got around to finishing it and when he decided he would sell it instead of keep it I was lucky enough to be offered it first and there was no way I was going to let it pass. Wanted one of those mud cured but he sold all he made, luckily he held back some of the wood for next year!Waddle Whacker wrote: ↑February 15th, 2018, 8:55 am You almost didn’t get that one! Here’s the two I received Saturday. My mud cured Osage on the left and a curly Koa I picked out for my buddy. Both beautiful pieces of wood.

It wasn’t easy. And you should see it in person...it’s awesome! I thought it was the prettiest of the bunch, including the one I got for myself. Just didn’t know if I’d ever get another crack at the mud cured Osage.
