I'm starting out March 15 in Mississippi. Then we open in LA March 22. And I'll be headed to KS in late April.

March??? Heck, I just got back from a morns romp in the woods!!
Too bad I didn't have a gun,... had three Longbeards at 30yds. They looked at me like I was nuts being in the woods already. I think they actually know when you are after them.

Morns report,.... No gobbling whatsoever. 70 degrees. No strutting. Birds almost everywhere I went. One place had 20 or 30 birds mingling around with several longbeards, half a dozen jakes, and a bunch of hens. No strutters. Tried to get a pic,... Dam camera phone!!!
Still a little early I guess.

Mid April through May for me. I've been seeing a bunch of gobblers over the past 2 weeks. Little bit of fighting going on also.

Good luck buddy. I am still keeping an eye on weather/temps to see what season I should buy a tag in. Season 3 could be real good this year.

7 days till VA season opens. I'm pretty well ready. Not shot my gun, not got my camo out or washed it, not messed with my calls in a month, haven't been scouting for a single bird yet, not hung any cameras, not saw any around the farms feeding and such since December, think diaphragms are in top of the fridge not sure....after going through all of what I needed to do just now YEP!!!! Believe I'm ready to be late the first morning after milking.

I don't get to hunt until April 24th or 25th. Will be in Nebraska then and hope to stop in Kansas on the way home for a couple of days. If not, Indiana will be open when I get home.

Congrats to doublegobble.

Who among the Bloody Snoods is still hunting? We need about 5 more birds..... I've got a western trip in about 3 weeks and hope for the chance to add a couple more to our scoresheet.

4th season just opened today. I've got my eye on a couple nice birds for this season. Hopefully I can put one of them down. We hunt about an hour south of home every year with around 18-20 guys through Iowa's 2nd and 3rd season. I usually try to fill my tag early so I can spend the rest of the time taking other guys out. We finished with 16 out of 18 birds. The 2 tags that didn't get filled were guys that hunted 2 days and had opportunities and jakes but passed. We knocked down some really nice birds this year. A lot of birds weights ranged from 22-27 lbs. The longest beard was 11 1/4".
