I guess I'm officially a non collector. I'm out of the loop of knowledge.

I'd just wind up selling it for scrap like the other one. That one wouldn't bring as much because there's no metal. I figure that call would net me 18 to 20 cents in the scrap market.

Nice Guy, Cornbread Corbett.. He made the strumpet and the biscuit tube, many claim the biscuit is the best tube there is. He was supposed to get back into call building a few years back but I have not heard or seen anything..Gobbler wrote:I guess I'm officially a non collector. I'm out of the loop of knowledge.

Nice looking call.
I gotta ask, why is that call priced at $250? Is it that rare of an item?

Law of Supply and Demand.. Yeah he quit making calls, that biscuit has a good reputation.. I believe they sold for 100 do not quote me.. I would not drop 250 on a tube but somebody might.kygobbler wrote:Nice looking call.

I'd pay three hundred for three Merriam tags in Nebraska though.
Re: Here ya go Ronnie
I remember a couple of years ago seeing a Cornbread Strumpet sell for over 500.00 on E-Bay !
Re: Here ya go Ronnie
I got 2 biscuits...does that mean I have $500 sitting on my shelf?

I've got 2 biscuits and a strumpet.....wonder what they're worth??????
Tom, I don't think the biscuits ever sold for that much though.

I think the Strumpets fetch a good price.. Mark I am going by a fuzzy recollection of it, Sal was going to get me one for Christmas a long while back when he talked of getting back into it.. But I could be way off base..M Sharpe wrote:I've got 2 biscuits and a strumpet.....wonder what they're worth??????

I have only run one biscuit, good call, but if that dude fetches 250 for his I know what I would do if I were you..
Re: Here ya go Ronnie
I'd probably take 250 a piece for the biscuits and 3 for the strumpet....
