How to be a contest member

Post by Gobbler » February 10th, 2014, 1:57 pm

Do You want to enjoy the Contest?

Then here are some tips to make it more fun.

You NEED to check your in with your team as much as possible (just a quick look to see if anything new has been posted or PM's sent.)
Introduce yourself and ask for help if you need it.
Get some paper a couple markers, camera, portable scale and learn how to make measurement pictures. Label the bird with the date both spur lengths, weight and beard length.
Always take your measure kit with you in truck.
Get to know your team and stay in touch it is very important.
Post your hunts and pictures. There will be a thread in your team area for that and a thread for measurement pictures.
Defend your team. Don't let other teams run smack on you. Find out their weakness and exploit them right back. Most teams are Jake killers trying to fit in except team 8.

Others add any you think will help members enjoy the contest.

I'm on the sidelines this year, I didn't contribute anything last year, worst season of my life. I'll still enjoy the smack talk.

READ THE RULES AND MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THEM. THEY ARE SIMPLE AND MADE SO YOUR TEAM WILL NOT SUFFER IF YOU HAVE A BAD SEASON.
THIS ALSO TAKES THE PRESSURE OFF SO ENJOY YOUR HUNTING . DON'T SIT OUT THERE AND WORRY.
