Pimp my Hunt trailer

Post by Gobbler »

My Daughter and I bought a used trailer for 900 dollars. It was rough inside and we thought why not gut it and make a hunt trailer that is more functional. So My brother threw in with us and we got to work on it. here are some pictures of the ripping and demo of the inside. :D

After two hauls to the dump we started to see daylight. But we had allot of water damage to replace and repair.

So we replaced the floor supports and put down new plywood.

Well we finished the panel and the floor and the trim work on most of the trailer.

And we put in a shelve to hold the Refrigerator and other appliances.

Next we are going to plumb and put the bathroom together. And we are going to wire the lights and other electric requirements.

Well we have finished up most of the work and have not plumbed it or run wire yet but we are ready to start. We put bath together and some lights up so we could figure out our strategy on the wiring and plumbing.

here are few more pics.

Dude that's some fast work. I started a bathroom remodel just before Turkey season (mistake)...I just got to laying the tile this week. I would be expensive to hire by the hour.

Thanks Ya'll. We figured the hunt camp is just a place to sleep in and shower etc. We usually spend most the time outside at the camp fire and cooking on the grill or on the double gas burner. So our idea was to make a clean bunk house on wheels with a normal bath that fat....I mean normal size men could use.

Lookin' good, Doug.. Nice project..On a project like that, the work never seems to end. You tear one part out and find two more problems..Looks like you are closing in on the rehab, and you will have a place to hunt out of for a long time to come.
I resemble the fat guy in the bathroom, remark.
I was at a resort in Mn. for a week of fishing. (Quite a few years ago). We stayed in an old trailer that was part of the guys fleet of cabins. I literally had to put one leg in the bathtub when I sat down to take a dump. It was that tight. I still have nightmares over that ordeal.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Final pictures of finished trailer and after hauling it to camp. We finished the bath and installed gas hot water heater. built one bead and brought in two others. Put some inexpensive appliances in and curtains up. Next summer we put a covered deck in the front of the trailer.

I especially liked the cigar picture! I am rather fond of a 55-60 ring Madero, myself. The bourbon and the cigars are a natural..Nice..
