took me a 6 months to find a certain fish finders for my boat. Many years I used to use Bottomline fish finders, they had the true side finder fuctions. I found the Bottomline Scout (side finder) & the T100 Depth finder (bottom beam search). Both in mint shape in the original boxes & instructions. Bottomline was bought out by Hummingbird back in the late 90's early 2000. in the picture, the left is the T-100 Depth Finder, and the right is the Scout (side finder). I have a switch below both finders that control the side finder tranducers from rear back of the boat to the troller motor transducer, down is for the rear side finder transducer, up is for the trollers side finder tranducer. I ran all the cables inside my grap bar.

Since when do you need fish finders to find carp???...lol

for game fish, plus all the guys I fish (bowfish) with have fish finders. I fish with a group of 7 boats we all have them, I was the last to put one on. I wanted a certain type. The bat is my fish whacker & smart azz want-be's .

All I can say is.....

I think I need to get serious about this bow fishing.

Just messin with ya Don,...lol. My boat doesn't leave home without the HDS-8 hooked up.
My Lowrance X67c in the bow, does not have GPS capability.
Did not go bowfishin, but a few nites last year. Kind of got burned out.
I met this Chinese family years ago, and that turned into a every nite thing for several years.
LOL, they even went out and bought this huge chest freezer for all the Buffalo and carp.
Went by one day to drop some off, they had scaled, gutted, and had them stacked like wood,..lol.

I knew you were Tommy, my buddies were tell me just to buy any fish finder, but I wanted a certain type and the type I wanted they dont make anymore. It took me 6 months to find them, but I have what I want. Your right it is the funnest thing you can do with your cloths on. I have a ton of wiring, fuse boxes, marine bus bar's, 4ga wire, 6 ga. wire, 10 ga. wire, 14 ga. wire. I have 8ga. 3 wire 30 amp commercial electrical cord ran to 2 20 amp breakers on each outlet for my generator cord.
Battery level meters, 2 55amp Powermax Converters, 3 bank on-board charger, 2 31 series deep cell batteries, (1) for the lights the other for the 54lb 54" trolling motor. The lights are hood up 1 switch turns on left side, another switch turns on the right side.


55 amp converters.

I know what you mean Don. I fished with a bass pro buddy a few years back.
He was showing me how his HDS-8, and HDS-10 worked,... WOW!!!
Big mistake for me,...lol After that, I was gonna have one or die.

We should get together sometime, and shoot some fish. All I have here within 5 mins, is carp and buffalo.
I have to drive 45 mins to get to the TN river, where the grass carp, drum, gar, and the others are. It takes me 4 hours to get across the MS river, but don't know how much farther you are from there.

That is SO COOL! I went bowfishing once, Shooter is right Sloppy, best fun while dressed.

But don't get any ideas, doing this neked probably wouldn't be much fun.

Don, you run your lights with battery power? The one time I went we had a generator and had to wear ear plugs.

LOL, you would laugh you're butt off, if you saw what I've been using for over 30 years,... A reel with a auto headlight mounted in the center, a wire running to a black light plug, going to one of my trolling batts.
Call me old school for sure, but it works.
Could not tell all the carp and buffalo any different,...lol They hate it!

yes, LED 12V the 2 40W's draw about 3 amp ea., the 6 27W LED 12v draw 2.25 amps ea. I'm running a 2500w inverter genny, that is very quiet about 56dB's. The 2 55amp converters 1 for the lights that draws 750 amps the other 55amp converter for the 54lb troller motor that also draws 750 amps. I have plenty of geeny to run them, 2500W, 2200 continous watts. I can run about 3 hrs on lights & troller w/o a genny, but then I power up the genny, you & I can have a normal pitched conversion w/o raising our voices. Generators have came a long way for noise. Plus this boat is a frog gigg'n vessle.

I got hooked on Bowfish 3 plus years ago. Aint no pro by far. I went with dozen guys with 6 boats, was snagged the moment I arrow my 1st rough fish. From then on balls to the wall. I couldnt duck hunt anymore so I sold most of my ducking hunting stuff, dek's, duck hunt'n clothing, shotgun, but kept the boat. Figure a duck boat would make a good bowfishing rig for sure.

Haven't been bow fishing, but if my cousin invites me again, I just might take him up on it.
Plenty of uses for a boat like that down here near the "Mobile Delta".

I still waiting on the pictures of the 35 horse vanguard with the prop on the back.

Very very nice boat indeed..Great work done.. I will try to make similar modifications in my boat and share pics very soon
