I have posted this before but made some changes. Also, the pics were on PB & no longer show up.

I just finished a large batch of this sauce. It's cooling ready to be packaged & frozen. There should
be enough for a family supper next Saturday, for the fall turkey hunting trip to The Roost in NY, &
enough left over for a meal or 2 for me. The pics are from the last batch I made. I didn't add the
beef or pork this time & the German sausage is Carle's World Famous Bratwurst.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground or chopped venison
1 ½ to 2 pounds German sausage
1 large chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic
1 lg. onion
1 can mushrooms
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (12 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 pkg. (1.5 oz.) spaghetti sauce mix
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt and pepper
1 tsp. paprika
5 to 6 oz. hot or mild picante salsa
1 cup water (red wine gives adds flavor)

DIRECTIONS

1. Brown venison & sausage in large pot and drain.
2. Peel and slice garlic and onion and place in blender.
3. Place all ingredients except venison, sausage, peppers, & mushrooms & water in
blender.
4. Cover blender, chop ingredients first and then blend until thickened.
5. Add contents of blender to ground beef and cook on medium heat for
approximately 30 minutes. More water and spices may be added as per your taste.

ALTERNATIVE FOR STEPS 2 - 5: If you like a thicker, chunkier sauce, chop pepper, onion,
& garlic by hand, brown, & mix all ingredients in a large pot. Heat as indicated.
