This is a recipe I just made up on the spur of the moment so, if any of y’all try it & don’t like it, don’t blame me. And, for those wondering why chicken & not wild turkey…..If it turns out bad, I don’t want to waste the turkey. This is an experimental 1st run.
I didn’t measure any of the ingredients. Most of the seasoning is to taste especially the Cajun Seasoning.
Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast
Fresh Cut Asparagus
Mushroom Soup
Milk
Cheddar Cheese Sliced
Swiss Cheese Sliced
Paprika
Cajun Seasoning
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
1. Place the chicken on the bottom of a baking dish.
2. Season to taste.
3. Layer asparagus on top of the chicken.
4. Layer ham on top of the asparagus.
5. Layer cheese on top of ham alternating Cheddar & Swiss slices.
6. Put mushroom soup in a bowl & mix thoroughly with 1 half can of milk.
7. Pour soup over the cheese spreading it evenly.
8. Pre-heat oven to 400.
9. Cover with tin foil and bake at 400 for 30 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked.
This is what was for supper tonight & it was pretty good for just throwing a bunch of stuff into a baking dish.

Looks delicious and would work great with wild turkey. Might need to cook just a little longer with the turkey, it being a little more substantial than the chicken.

Thx. Yep, either longer cooking time or slice the breast into thinner pieces. I'll try to remember to post the turkey results (& no, Billie, when I posted "turkey" I wasn't referring to you, tho I could have been. )Spuriosity wrote:Looks delicious and would work great with wild turkey.
