I'll have to try that. What I do sometimes is put the asparagus on tin foil with butter, lemon (or lime) juice, salt & pepper (or Lawrys), fold it up & crimp the edges so the melted butter & juice don't leak out, then toss in on the grill for about 5 minutes per side.Hognutz wrote:I love asparagus, as well. Hawg will have to try that. My standard for ass-pa-ragus is some evoo mixed in a slurry with A1 garlic and herb
IMO the A1 blends are the best commercial spice blends u can buy
I go straight on the grate until the outside chars a tiny bit, yet still crunchy to a point.

Re: Ramps!
I was looking through some previous years huntin g notes to see if there was anything to help me with a bird that doesn't want to play nice. I found pics of ramps gone wild.
This is just a small part of the ramp field in the middle of the woods.
A close up of a ramp still in the ground & a pulled ramp.
Hope this helps any of y'all that might not know what a ramp looks like in the wild.

We have several. There's one at the Sunset Beach bridge, and a couple more along the Interacoastal Waterway. Damn Yankees and jetskis have ruined that.
