The Smoker will be Fired Up Tomorrow

Post by HunterGKS »

I haven’t used my smoker in over a year so decided it was about time to clen it up & put it to use as something more than a dust gathering box. It’s an electric Bradly that has a feeder/burner that uses round wood briquettes. U have maple & hickory but haven’t decided which to use.

I have rubbed seasonings into all the meat which is now sitting in the fridge for smoking starting tomorrow morning.

A couple of years ago, I sent some homemade venison sausage, summer, brats, Andouille, Eyetalian, & Polish to LA & it damned near broke me. Besides, that'll all be et up about as soon as it's out of the smoker. I gots some hungry big eaters coming in.

That looks good.
I was gonna make a new thread but I'll post it here. Looks like according to your post you cook all the food there at your house. Your just a regular ole chef ain't ya. Lol. You kick your wife out of the kitchen or something. My wife does most of the cooking here and she is damn good at it. I grill occasionally. She kicked me out. I'm glad though cause I don't care too much about cookin myself unless im grillin cause that calls for a few brewskies. Lol. Just pokin fun at ya man. All that stuff you post about cookin makin me hungry.

Ole Raspy, Even when I had another half, I did most of the cooking. All I let her "cook" was on taco night & maybe some Spencer burgers. It seems to run in the family as Dad did most of the cooking as does my Bro.

I re-read your original post & my response & thought: "Dang!! That sure sounded short!" I sure didn't mean it that way. I enjoy poking about as much as I do getting poked. Just ask Billie. :toothy7:

I do enjoy cooking especially when it's for others. I always take a lot of dishes to hunting camps, mostly squirrel, turkey, & venison. I'll be posting more recipes as time goes on.

Every fall, I have a family BBQ with baby backs as the main course. They are really good if I do say so myself. I think my great-niece, Lily agrees.

The pics of Lily are from last year.

The chicken & turkey are getting close but the pork & beef have a ways to go yet.

All the meat was smoked by about 2:30 this afternoon. All of it turned out great. There was 1 downside to the afternoon’s smoking……….I RAN OUT OF ICE COLD ADULT BEVERAGES!!!! :angry5: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angry5: :angry5: :angry5: Talk about poor planning on my part!!!! :joker: :joker:

Sounds like all y'all had a feast goin' on as well. You have to stand clear of the food table around here or you might draw back a bloody stump.
