Minnesota Fishing Pictures.

Post by Hognutz »

Here are a few of the pics I took on our Mn. fishing trip, last week. Please excuse the quality, all were taken with my phone.
Limits of walleye, crappie, gills and perch. All were a size smaller than normal. I think the late winter caused that. They didn't have ice off until May 8. Which was 2 weeks before we got there.

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I'm not sure what you mean by "yellowbellies", Tom. If it is perch, they are my favorite..

Thats awesome, I wish I knew of a productive place here in Central FL where I could bring my daughter to go panfishing off the bank of the river/pond.

I have good bass fishing spots but she's only 6 and I want her to have some action as I dont want her to hate fishing.

Yup perch.. My favorite fish by far, much better than walleye IMO They seem to be difficult to get in size and quantity of size.

Perch are my favorite fish, by far, as well. They are much more tasty than a walleye. Walleye is good, but it is like a zucchini squash. It is tasteless and you make it taste the way you prepare it. That is why so many people like it that don't really enjoy the taste of fish. Perch has it's own inherent flavor and is off the charts good!! I would trade walleye for nice perch, anytime! Heck yah!!

 Same with whitefish.. Whitefish to me is like natty light, it has no flavor, you cannot say you do not like it, cuz it sure don't taste like anything..

Yup give me the small flaked fish: Gills, Perch, Crappie over the larger flaked fish any day of the week.
