NICE BROOK TROUT 2015
I went fishing yesterday at the WMA in Carroll County. I caught this nice brook trout that weighed 2 1/2 lbs and was 17 inches long. I caught 16 trout in all and released all but 6. Many of them were native brooks and native browns. This one will be mounted and put in my fishing room. I think it will make a beautiful display.

Re: NICE BROOK TROUT 2015
thats a good brookie! don`t know if you ever fish wv or md but if you ever get a chance try the catch and release sections of the North Branch of the Potomac. Only place on the east coast you can catch cutthroats so i`m told. caught a few there a couple years ago when i was hitting it hard. Big trout there as well, biggest brown i`ve seen was in that section. The cutthroats seemed to hit later in the spring around the end of May if i remember correctly . Don`t know if thats when they stock them or what.

That is a great native brook. I have only caught a dozen or so that were seventeen. Sal is making me get back on the stream.

Good to see you back. Sounds like you had an interesting spring with the guiding.

Sounds fun. Think I would pass on the pine goats, but may be more fun to help others get them.ICDEDTURKES wrote:Thank u it was a different spring for sure.
