Carbon ring

Post by howl »

Using chamber adapters and short shells can over time leave a very hard ring of carbon in a chamber. The ring will prevent chambering longer shells and might cause increased pressure.

Removing the ring is an extended process involving abrasives.

I only post this because I have recommended such on forums. And my arm is tired. :banghead:

Experienced a similar issue with muzzle loading rifles and 777 powder. Drill on end of cleaning rod helped a bunch.
