Man if guns could talk. I got this from one of the greatest friends /turkey hunters I'll ever know. He pasted away almost five years ago and my turkey hunting hasn't been the same. This gun has has taken geese in the southern IL heydays, ducks, pheasants, turkeys, doves and who knows what else. He bought it when he was 17. So after selling my old schools to go a different direction I finished it tonight. I bought the barrel about 13 years ago because I didn't want to shoot Hevi shot out of my old school 870. Never put it on the gun. Just kept using my old school 11-87. 5th season IL opens this week and I hope to put one down with this gun.

Great tribute to your mentor! I love stories with happy endings! Well done..
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
