Can't zero TruGlo Gobblestopper

Post by Tidewater Tom »

I've read more than once that the TruGlo Gobblestopper is hard to zero. I believe it now. Multiple adjustments and the damned pattern stays where it is. Never seen anything like it.

Try tapping the adjustment turrets after you move them, with the handle of the screwdriver..
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Had no issues zeroing mine, but I do know that they have a tendency to lose zero with a drop even if the body of the scope doesn't hit anything. Fell one day a week back and confirmed that I knocked it off zero. Fixed it with one adjustment and then killed this boy. ImageImage

Look up the one shot zero method. It works with anything because you can watch the reticle move to the spot it should be.

Yep, counting clicks invites mistakes including going in the wrong direction. Gil

Old post but I thought I'd let you know that I have a Vortex Venom 3MOA and a 3MOA Burris FF III that I'll be mounting on my 2 Mossberg 835s using Sumtoy mounts for this year. Couldn't decide on a brand so I got both. Can't wait to try them out.
