Maxus shooters

Post by hmrx »

Had this maxus for years without trouble. Thoroughly cleaned all parts and back together. Ive had it apart many times. Back from western turkey swing. It went click with a shallow dent on primer 2 out of 4 times. Never happened before. Bolt was fully closed, hard. After ejecting and putting the shell in second time it fired. Same new fiocchi cases from the same bag I used for years. Any thoughts on the culprit. I'll take it apart and look.

I will. Wondered if anyone had issue with a hammer spring. Probably sticky firing pin. Needs more oil.

If it’s a sticky firing pin it probably needs to be cleaned and needs less oil.

Thinking hammer spring might be an issue. Riding on away across south Dakota toward home checked midwestgunworks and maxus hammer spring was sold out. Makes you wonder. I'll call browning later about the issue.

Called browning they won't admit problem but they're sending a whole trigger assembly free of charge. Great service.

Can’t beat that with a stick! Customer Service like that makes you want to stay with the brand!
Good for you!

I bought a 20ga. Browning Citori 6 months or so ago. They offered a $100 rebate. I filled out the form online and I had a check within 1 week. Surprised the heck out of me! I don’t have much Browning gear..
