Automatic safety on gun
Automatic safety on gun
Fan of automatic safety or not? I had one on lc smith and didn’t like it. Was always having to remember to put it back on fire. I have never seen them on semi auto or pump. Is there a reason they are needed on some side by sides?

Over engineering!!
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Never had one, but I like the idea. I'm pretty automatic with the safety anyhow. Taking it off is part of mounting the gun for me.

Not for me.

Re: Automatic safety on gun
I've got some guns that have them and some that don't. I like it for hunting; I am used to flipping the safety off as I mount the gun so it doesn't slow me down any. For clay shooting, probably better to be manual

Re: Automatic safety on gun
I have it on one SxS 12 gauge and I want to say the double 10 is automatic as well, but I honestly haven't shot it enough to even remember.
I'm indifferent on the subject. It is what it is, and if I like the gun enough I'll deal with the safety.

Re: Automatic safety on gun
My Beretta O/Us have them. I'm fine with the automatic safety on the one I use for hunting. But I had it changed over to manual on the one I use for clays.
Re: Automatic safety on gun
Some of my doubles have them; some don't. With a tang mounted safety, it becomes second nature to push it off and pick a trigger. It makes no difference to me whether it's auto or not. Gil
