Im thinking of trying them and am wondering if anyone has any opinions on them? I dont know if id really benefit from them as I try to adhere to a 40 yard max rule.

If you shoot a 12 and adhere in spirit and in practice to 40 yards, lead is good enough. If you want to carry a lighter gun, which means a smaller gauge and lighter loads, TSS is the way to go.

For sure and Winchester longbeards 6 in a 20ga will get the job done under 40yds as well

I tried them in the .410 this year. Killed 5 birds with it. I like em. Just ordered 12 boxes.

Killed two birds with the 20 gauge #9 load. Patterns were not overly tight through my .570 but they are super even.

What gun and choke did you use?

Remington 870 with the 25" full barrel. Gun does not have chokes. It will kill one at 40 yards.
