Post by Lucky Clucker »

I have some,of hals recipe tss 2 oz. 9. Shot one at 40 yards in my sx2. Had a good even pattern with around 240 in the 10 ring, Im looking to,get 300 plus in the 10. Would a tighter choke help,or more open,I have a .668 stardot ,.665 carlson, It is a good hunting pattern but. I get the same, number of hevi 7 with that choke also ,the 9 has way more shot .

You might want to try a more open choke. Try factory full/ex-full if you have one.
I load/shoot Hal's 2oz #9 in 2-3/4" and 3" 12ga. Get over 300+ WIn 1300 using factory full and Carlson Sporting Clay 690.
Kicks 680 in Browning Gold Hunters gives 300+. Indian Creek put up similar numbers with smaller constriction haven't tried one yet.

In my SX3 a .680 choke worked the best.
