870 deer gun.....red dot or scope?

Guys,
I am setting up my 870 super mag express shotgun to use a duplex of TSS BBxT shot for whitetail deer hunting. This gun will have a definitive range of 60 to 70 yards.

What optic do you think would be best for deer hunting and why?

I am leaning towards a reflex red dot, the Vortex Venom to be exact in a 3 MOA dot. What do you guys think? Red dot or scope? If you state scope, give me a recommendation.

Truthfully I would go for the red dot even though it’s gonna be 70+ yards.
