Scope Base Bedding Compound? Any Suggestions?
I know I have seen this discussed on here before but for the life of me I can't find it, would anyone have any suggestions on a good scope base bedding compound? I have a TriStar Viper G2 that I am getting the receiver drilled and tapped and I would like to bed the base because the receiver is aluminum, if I was mounting a Burris FF III I wouldn't be too concerned but I will be using a Burris SpeedDot and it is considerably heavier than the FF III. Thanks in advance for any help.

I use Marine-Tex
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have no need for a 30-06, I have a shotgun

I watched a YouTube video last night where a gunsmith bedded one with J-B Weld and it seemed easy enough, he used Kiwi shoe polish as a release agent and it turned out great. Thanks for everyone's input.
