Savage 93R17
I have owned this 17 for a lonnnng while. My uncle in Georgia had come up and shot it, fell in love. Told him to take it and keep it for as long as he liked. Just to make sure if that day ever came that he would make sure I would get it back.
Well he fought a bout with leukemia and won. it tore him a new one and he has neuropathy in his feet.
He couldn't hold this gun steady any more and recently came up for a visit and brought it back to me.
Now this rifle shot lights out for me for years. He swore he never missed with it.
Has a sweet 17 bsa scope and I noticed it wasn't holding groups. cleaned the barrel and it hasn't help much at all.
I even got this accutrigger down to 2 lbs and I still can't get better than a 1" group out of it.
anyone have a idea or a trick that I can see what gives?

I'd check the scope mounts first.

Check the stock screws and make certain that none are loose. I usually want the front screw a little tighter than the rear screw. Then check the rings and bases and make certain that they are snug too. You may want to clean the bore with a good cleaner. I like wipe-out my self. Are you shooting the same brand and weight ammo you used too? Finally try another scope if all else fails and see if that helps. Check the muzzle crown too and make certain that is uniform and not dinged somewhere.
Good luck and God Bless, Louis

Here's a grouping at 100 yards. This scope isn't clear enough for me to really fine tune my aiming.

Not yet. Haven't had time to swap optics and see what it's doing.
