My guess is that the 3.5 actually was faster. In the Win Supreme lead load, both 3 and 3.5 are rated 1300 fps. But shooting the 3.5 over a chrony showed my gun was getting 1360-1370.

The 3.5 can have higher pressure so it's reasonable to think they can be faster, no matter what it says on the box. Good luck!
