Percent pellets do you lose every ten yards?
Can you all chime in on something I heard. Someone once told me if you want to estimate the pellets in a 10in circle after a known distance you can subtract out a certain amount like maybe 30%? For example if you know you pellet count was 200 pellets in a 10in circle at 40 yards then at about 50 yards it would be about 130-140 pellets? Can anyone confirm the percentage estimate and if you think it holds true? I know there are variables but I’m just trying to get a rough estimate on my loads at different distances with out having to shoot a lot of tss to keep costs down. Thanks!

Hal had said somewhere you would lose 30% per 10 yards. Seems about right

I think it's ever how many pellets in a 10" circle @ 40 yds. you multiply that by .7 and that would be approx. what you would have at 50 yds. take that number and multiply by .7 would be 60 yds. etc. etc.....I THINK!!!

At the end of its range, a pattern can fall to pieces in five yards. Estimates are nice for planning. Shooting it is the only way to know.
