The Venom! The MSRP says $329, but Opticsplanet has them listed for $229. It also has the Vortex VIP Unconditional Unlimited Lifetime Warranty

Opticsplanet is the blackhole of backorders. If they have it, fine, but consider the warning. Gil

I'm a big fan of Vortex optics. I currently run the gen1 SPARC on top of my M2000. It has handled punishing magnum loads both from turkey and buckshot for the past 3 years. I also have multiple Vortex scopes on top of my rifles and ARs....again I love them.
I'm getting an 870 20ga youth set up for TSS and will be running the Venom on top. I'll keep you guys posted.

Oh yeah I forgot to add, the estimated ship time for my Venom is 3 months. This seems to be the norm wherever shopping for the Venom as it is to release this summer, but companies are filling orders and getting POs.

You sure you aren't thinking of Opticsale, i've had problems before with them showing something in stock, and then backordering it, and I finally cancelled my order because it stayed on backorder. I've never had the first problem out of Opticsplanet, from my experience they usually keep a good stock, and they usually ship extremely fast as well.

Yeah, they just released the venom at the SHOT show this year, so I didn't figure it would hit stores for a while.

Per Vortex Venom Q&A.....
The Venom will ship with a picatinny rail mount included. The Venom also shares a footprint with the Burris Fastfire.

Since the Venom shares the same footprint as FF, wouldn't that make it compatible for the 336 base? That was the impression I was under.

That would be a question for Vortex. The Redfield Accelerator says the same thing.

Does anyone know why the manufacturers aren't camoing the firefly and now this vortex? Should have an option...

I bought the Vortex Razor red dot last year and had to return it because it wouldn't fit the 336 mount. It was close but wouldn't fit.
