Day 6 of the 2019 Ohio Squirrel Season

Post by HunterGKS »

I got set-up in “my” deer woods at 12:27 at 68, sunny, cool, & a slight breeze.

At 01:53, I watched a coyote trot from south to north about 75 yards to the east.
As soon as it was out of sight, I spotted a tail flicking around like crazy low on a
tree near where the ‘yote had passed. I think the bushy watched the ‘yote &
knew when the danger was passed. At 02:00 I saw a second fox. I watched them
closely hoping they would come my way. At 02:10, I pulled out my caller but they
ignored me.

At 02:25, I saw another fox moving north closer to me. At 02:36, it showed up
about 10 feet from me but didn’t offer a shot.

It started to get overcast & the temp dropped. I decided to move to my deer
blind to see if anything was happening there. I had some things to do so I left at 04:15.

At least I saw 3 bushies today, which was better then the nada on opening day. I plan to
hit “my” turkey woods in the morning.
