I went back to “my” deer woods to change the card in my trail cam at 12:30 with the temp at 71, sunny, & breezy. As I walked back to my squirrel spot, I jumped a doe & 2 fawns.

At 12:52, a fox started scolding behind me &, at 12:57, another started in front to the left of me. Neither 1 showed itself. At 02:30, I decided to move to my deer stand & sit inside. At 03:12, a fox appeared in front of me at 10 yards. It was foraging around in the leaf litter so I put the x-hairs where I thought its head would appear which it did a few seconds later. The .17 did its job on a nice female. At 03:23, I thought I saw a tail but it was in the shadows & I wasn’t sure but the scope on it anyway. A few seconds later, a bushy stood up on its hind legs & he joined the female for the rid home.

I had some errands to run & chores to do so I called it a day at 03:45 with the temp at 73, still sunny & breezy. A beautiful day to be in the woods.
