Day 29 Young’s Woods 09/29/2017 P.M.
I hit the woods at 01:09, temp 70, windy, & cloudy. It had been sprinkling all morning so I wasn’t sure how long I’d stay out. At 02:50, I saw something moving about 100 yards south of me in the shadows. I couldn’t tell if it was a coon or a groundhog. I do know it wasn’t a squirrel or a deer as it was too big for a squirrel & too small for a deer. I suspect a coon. I moved to the deer stand at 03:00. The wind continued to pick up & I called it a day at 04:30.
Day 31 Mike’s Woods 09/29/2017 P.M.
I set up at 01:20 with a temp of 69, breezy, & clear with a few high, white clouds. At 03:15, I took a walk thought the woods & picked up a few shellbark hickory nuts that I am going to try to grow. I headed home at 05:10 with the temp up to 72.
Day 32 Grandpa Scott’s Woods 09/29/2017 A.M.
I got into the woods at 08:05 with a temp of 42, calm, & sunny. Between 09:30 & 10:20, I walked through both sections of woods & saw nothing. It had started to warm up at about 10:30 &, by 11:00 when I went to lunch it was 82.
