OUTDOOR EDGE KNIFE
Well I bought an Outdoor Edge Razor-Pro back in October from Cabela's. Since I haven't been able to hunt (until yesterday) I haven't used my new knife. Went out this evening with a buddy and he got a doe. His backpack was at my treestand, so I said, here, just use my knife it's new....you can break it in. Anyway, came home and cleaned it up and decided to take the blade off and make sure I got it good and clean. So I pushed the release button and I couldn't get the blade out. Finally I pushed the button and my wife pulled on the blade with a pair of pliers. Finally it came out. I can get it in and out now, but I need a pair of pliers. This is no good if you need to change blades in the field. I was just wondering if anyone out there use these knives and if they've had any problems. I even put some oil on the mechanism and that didn't help either.
I did email the warranty department, so I'll see what they say.
Thanks,
Kevin

I've had zero problems with mine. Cleaned 3 deer w/o issue changing blades.

Hadn’t had a problem with mine either. I’ve cleaned 12 deer with mine.

Re: OUTDOOR EDGE KNIFE
I sent Outdoor Edge an email last night. They replied this morning and told me to ship it back and once they received it they would ship me out a new one. I like a gut hook on my deer knife and this one has that.
Tom, I took your advice a while back and ordered a 3 pack of those sharpeners. They really work and before I couldn't sharpen a pencil. Definitely a good call on that one.
Thanks,
Kevin

Re: OUTDOOR EDGE KNIFE
I sent mine in and they sent me a new one. So far no problems. Hopefully I'll get a bird in the spring and can try it out!

I also have two on the outdoor edge knives, the razor pro and razor lite. Never had any problems, and I use mine on elk.
