best bincolulars for $150

Post by Tidewater Tom »

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for the best binoculars I can find for between $150-200. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Yep....couldn't agree more. Great glass for the price with a no questions asked unlimited lifetime warranty. I have lots of Vortex optics and love them.
Another good one in that class is the Redfield Rebel line.

Check out the Carson line. The VP-025 is a 10x25 compact w/ 16.5 mm of eye relief and great optics for @$165, lifetime warranty. I've got the Carson ED 10x42 which are my premier deer hunting binoculars @ $250 and are on par w/ binoculars which cost 3 times as much. I don't go anywhere without a good pair of binoculars and have a pair in all my vehicles and always carry in the field.

I bought some Bushnell Legend HD's 10X for under $180 on clearance. The color is amazing and they really make things pop.
I have some older ones in Legend 8X32 and they are excellent. They are a good size for turkey hunting and have a lifetime, no questions asked warranty.

On another note, a buddy of mine bought me a bino strap that holds them in the middle of your chest. I thought to myself...........junk, just gonna get in the way. Well, I was wrong, it's a must and it makes your binos very accessible.

I bought a pair of vortex diamond backs before season
and have been very happy with them. I got the 10x32 from BH photo for 139.00 and they came with a free
harness.

I'm looking hard at the 12x50 Diamondbacks now. I have a buddy that can get a hunter safety discount that's fairly substantial.

I'll put in another vote for Leupold Yosemite. They are small and easy to carry turkey hunting here in the east and VERY clear for the price. For years I was always one of those people that thought you didn't need to carry binoculars---and sometimes you don't need them. Last March my son and I took two nice Osceolas off from Florida public land and we would have never seen the birds if we hadn't of had binoculars.

If you could swing $250 this is an awesome choice. It is on par with anything under $600. It has been replaced with EDII with only slight modifications, hence the lower price. When I bought a couple pairs there was a $50 mail in rebate so I got them for about $200.

These are just on the far side of your price range but well worth the additional few bucks! I have this pair and they're phenomenal.

Which series are cheaper on the Vortex?
Crossfire2’s or the diamondbacks?
Don't start none, won't be none!

Crossfire is the cheaper of the two. The Diamondbacks are a good solid mid-range optic.

My dumbass headed 20 hours to guide, yup forgot both sal and is diamond backs. Had to buy what store had to buy what store had and it was sure gonna be vortex.

Ended up getting 12x50 Diamond backs and 10x42 Crossfire. I'm equally happy with crossfire.
