Suggestions for My Mossberg Gun Stock & Forearm

Post by soiltester »

I've got a Mossberg 3" pump I won 14 years ago that I use for my shop gun.
It has a very light color wood stock & forearm and is parkerized.
Any suggestions on what to do to get the stock & forearm, dark colored/black or such, as I'm ready to use it for my main gun with my ole' 2/34/" #5 reloads I use to use on ducks, pheasants and toms also!!
Many thanks for any help in advance!!
ever wonder where the white goes when the snow melts??

Rattle-can flat black spray paint. If that seems too drastic, camo bow tape or equivalent. There are also camo removable stock covers. Gil

It'll look sharp with a hand rubbed linseed oil finish. Depending on how light it is, you might get by with just linseed oil after sanding and raising hairs and sanding. If it is very light stain it before oiling. Reminds me I have an A-Bolt Medallion stock to strip and do.

Or just Krylon it. Also if the forearm rattles put furniture slider strips inside the forearm to take up the slack.
