Skin A Turkey For mounting

Post by Gobbler »

This cool because if you travel and fly. It is nice to reduce weight of turkey and bring it back to your taxidermist.

That was a very nice video and they made it look very easy. By any chance do they have a video on how they cure the entire bird like that without messing up the feathers? Or does any know? I have done a few capes but never the whole bird.

I skinned two gobblers out while traveling one year and it wasn't hard. I didn't cure them just kept them wrapped up and on ice. when I got home my taxidermist mounted both birds.

That was a very helpful video. That young man made it look very easy and I'll be he could do it in about 1/2 the time he took for us to get a good look at the process.

Very valuable information.

I generally refer to this as "value added" by visiting Gobbler Nation.

Thanks,
Clark
