Called in total of 6 this morning. Passed on the first 2 two year olds at 10 yds because was hearing lots of other gobbling and they had short beards, missed 1 about 10:00 because I just screwed up, called in 3 more 20 minutes later and killed the biggest strutter bringing up the rear. All of this was while I was just cruising the trails on foot after the initial flydown was over with nothing heard near my original set up.

#1 REASON FOR THIS SUCCESSFUL HUNT:Bird hung up at 125 yards, and then went back to his original position 200 yards out, I made a few calls and due to the terrain I hustled up to the spot he hung up last time, just as importantly I stood around the backside of a large oak instead of sitting which allowed me a clear shot over some brush!
He gobbled and strutted all the way in, could see him for a good 80 yards coming.
