Big one down
My best buddies friend killed this stud Friday evening,he's been after this deer for 4 years now..I know the boy that killed it,we have trout fished a few times and downed a few beers together.Consider him a friend.
I'm very happy for him to finally get this deer,I've seen this deer grow every year..last year he was at best and was said to be right at 200 inches if not more...As you can tell this deer had begun to go down hill this year..last year he had two drop tines...grossed 170

Great buck, crenshawco wrote:That's an awesome deer regardless of score but I'm not seeing 170" out of him
...and not that it matters, and always hard to tell from pictures, but I can see him grossing 170,....looks like about 100 +- inches in tine lengths, 20 +- inside spread, and 50 +- in circumference measurements = 170 +- (anyway, a good topic for discussion during the offseason for us antler guys)

Big one down
It actually came from Ohio..This boy lives in WV..He's leased the land for quite some time now.He is always showing us 130-140 under his stand, letting them walk..Of course we call him crazy for that but it paid off for him.hookedspur wrote: Thats a Great WV Buck ,,Congrats to your buddy !!!

That is a nice stinkin' buck, no matter what he scores. Cool beans, brother!
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

wow that is a sweet buck
Re: Big one down
That is a great buck no doubt and I would shoot him in a heartbeat, but like crenshawco said, that deer will never go 170." A basic 9 point with one drop, I say around 150", at best, by looking at the picture. Like I said, dead in my neck of the woods, but you need to have someone else score him to get a more accurate score.

Closer to this than 170 going by pic but pics can be deceiving and that's a tough angle to judge. Deff not close to 50" of mass tho. That would be over a 6" average . Takes a ginormous main frame 9 to hit 170. Hell of a deer!Punisher wrote:That is a great buck no doubt and I would shoot him in a heartbeat, but like crenshawco said, that deer will never go 170." That is an awesome buck!! I'll throw my 2 cents in also. Not taking away from him but I think 170 might be a bit of a stretch also. It does take a helluva a buck to go 170 and in this pic he doesn't look it. I know pics can be deceiving but based on that pic I believe he will fall short, but not by much. I'm gonna say mid 150's. Again no disrespect he's an awesome buck and even better that hes a bow kill, I'm jealous!! Tell your friend congrats, he should be proud as hell to hang him on his wall!
