Fall season

Post by ChiefBubba »

Been hanging around this fall but haven't had much to post about because of being so busy. Mom had a fall 2 weeks ago and broke her hip so they did surgery to do a hip replacement. She's in rehab doing pretty well but is fighting an infection in her leg. That seems to be responding to the meds and praying she gets out soon. With Dad being in the nursing home the back and forth was tiring. So I was able to sneak out for 3 days of hunting on the farm in SC last week with 2 buddies. Got my buddy his first deer, a doe 113 lbs. I didn't kill anything but after everything just getting out was good. I did get a little preview for spring watch 4 really nice gobblers feeding in the afternoon before roosting. All were shooters and one with a really nice paint brush, my guess was at least 2 or 3 inches wide. That one is on my hit list. Hope he lives until spring and the others don't run him off. Chief

I've been working up there over in Chesterfield Co. since August. I'm staying on Moree's Sportsman Preserve.

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Just an update. Mom is home and doing rehab at the house. Dr was amazed and told her she's weeks ahead of most people. She's not driving yet but will be after a week or so. She's doing so good thinking I may run up for another hunt next week. Chief
