New critter getter

I have been looking at these Ruger American 17HMR 22 inch barrels for the past month or so online..Finally pulled the trigger on one after I found one in stock and on sell while down in Va working.Paid $280 out the door..Guy working even went and the back and snuck me two boxes of shells out!!

Now I have to get a scope on it if I ever get time....Thinking about a leupold vx 1 or riflemen..or a vortex crossfire...although my buddy is trying really hard to push me on a burris fast field 2.

It will be used for squirrels,foxes and those types of things.Any input on scope ?

You ask for any input on scope ! Stay away from the VX 1 or the Rifleman ! Pay a little extra & get a VX2 with better multicoat lens ! Just my 2 cents !

Thanks for the heads up..Doubt I go to a leupold after looking closer...I'm really liking the vortex scopes

Nice rig !
Vortex makes a pile of different models but I think they are a pretty fair scope.
