Welcome buddy. Last time any of these guys killed a Jake they hit it with their Truck. I don't know what I'm doing here with these BSers. I can't compete. Well, maybe.

I just want to go ahead and get it out of the way and ask how many turkeys each one of you have killed and if you shoot jakes, that way whenever anyone else brings it up, we can say it has been discussed already, glad to see everyone on here

My first was a Jake years ago, and none since. How many Turkeys I've shot I trully don't have a clue. For years I was stuck at work and only able to hunt Iowa, which is 2 tags. Last 4-5 years have been able to get more time off and branch out to 2-3 states. Last year 3 states, 5 Turkeys with only not filling 1 tag in my home state Iowa. Now when I retire in a couple of years  the mortality rate is going to seriously jump up on Turkeys, if I can still physically handle it.

I killed my first one 1966 and killed my last one last year, so thats two. I'm still trying to learn the art of Jake slaying.

I wish they never invented the term Jake used for a young Turkey. I prefer YOUNG TOM TURKEY. That way no one messes with you
