This Kansas bird was about 15 feet away. I usually miss shots this close.

His brain and brain stem were totally blown out, but yet that sucker flopped like crazy for what seemed like forever...exactly like a chicken with his head cut off. I went over to step on his head, but I wasn't quite sure where I could put my foot. :D

Nicely done.. I think the flopping is all impulse..They seem to flop when there is not enough of their heads left to give any orders..Congrats!!
