Gobblers In The Snow.

Post by redarrow »

Tuesday was the last day of our late doe season. No doe's but lots of turkeys. 9 longbeards and 4 hens kept my blood flowing so I didn't freeze to death.Had to use a little Redneck ingenuity to get these pics. No zoom on my cell phone cam so I used my 8.5 binoculars that I got for Christmas as a fish eye zoom. You cain't keep a Redneck down. :D

Cool pics, Red! I have made a lot of pics with my iphone and binocs. Now they offer adapters to hold phone steady. If your phone camera has a zoom you can get a full picture and not just the circle. The hardest part is holding it all still so it's not blurry.

It was 28 degrees here on Monday and my buddy had a bird gobble 43 times. Also a jake tried to gobble a little. We have them do this in warm weather here in Dec and Jan but not very often in that cold weather.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that
