Man i was reading my 40th anniversary magazine and they had an article on NWTF License Plates.

WOW!!! the states that have them have some cool Plates! Florida has 4567 custom plates from "save the wharf mouse"
to needle point sisters of florida but no NWTF plate. We need one!

Anyone have one?

Not sure if it is an NWTF tag, But TN has a wildlife tag with a strutting gobbler on it.

VA tried to get enough members to sign up and get them, but we never got the required amount. I think it was like 400 or so needed and we fell short. I really wanted them, but oh well. I have the VA Wildlife tag with a turkey on it.

Those were some beautiful prototype tags they had worked up too. I was at the state meeting when the art was voted on. Kevin I believe the number was like 300 I cannot believe that number of tags weren't pre ordered. The state tag with the flying bird donates nothing towards conservation. The Va chapter does a lot for disabled sportsman and youth. That's really why I wanted to see that one pass.

The NWTF magazine shows VA having a tag, but I don't think that's right. I am going to check on the DMV website.

Your saying the NWTF article is incorrect? I will have to start a full investigation. I have the "red phone" phone number to NWTF headquarters. I will get to the bottom of it. The Virginia State Police aren't playing a trick on you are they?

We've got one here in SC, I checked on it years ago when I registered a new truck, I about flipped when I asked how much for it, $175......just stupid...told them to keep the POS

175? Dang that is a lot. I think the plates should be affordable with less dollars spread around. Sometimes greed back fires on a good idea.

I refuse to give this state one more dollar than they are already getting. Vanity plates are about double the cost just to say something about yourself,

I'll spend my dollars somewhere else and get a sticker or window decal if I want to say something about me.
btw, I do have a "In Loving Memory" window decal on my back window. :D

here is the first one they had here in bama. they cost an extra $50.00 with the 50 going to nwtf state chapter. i had the first one here in shelby county and might be the first in the state. they changed the design 2 years ago and i hate the new one. a deer on a turkey tag and th nwft is too small to be seen with it being too dark you really cant see it that well. i let the state folks know about how i felt about it... :o :o :o :o :o
for the moment i still have this one and hope i keep this design

Hootn I have an Alabama NWTF tag as well. And like yours mine is personalized. When the new ones came out a few years ago I hated it!! If i wanted a tag with deer, ducks, turkeys, and fish i would of gotten an AWF tag(and they do look alot alike)!!So I kept my old one too. Since it is a personalized tag we can keep the old ones. I talked to the lady at the probate office and she verified it. One thing I don't like is that we do pay an extra 50 dollars a year for this tag, why doesn't the NWTF atleast throw in an annual membership for those who have their tags? I'm not a member and I only got the tag because it was the only tag with a turkey only on it. I don't even know what a membership is but I thought the least they could do for those who spend the extra coins for their tag.

I know for a fact if they did give a membership with the purchase of a NWTF tag we would see one like this riding around: Gshoo :o
