Making sure my camp fire cooking is up to snuff

Got the new Kodiak canvas tent pitched and making sure my open fire skills are up to snuff in case I have to travel.

Man I can’t wait for turkey camp next year! I’ll bring some steaks with me and let y’all cast iron them out

That looks real good, those long handled frying pans are nice.

Campfire food always tastes better,
except for a hooded merganser.

tired that once on a primitive campout, even hickory coals couldn't save the day on that one.

They say cook merganser on a wooden plank. When done throw the merganser away and eat the plank.
