A Day Early but Thanks to all My Vet Brothers & Sisters

Post by HunterGKS »

I want to thank all of my Brothers & Sisters that have served in the Military.
Without you, we wouldn’t be the country that we are today.

I would like to encourage any of you who have pics & would like to share them
to post them here with a little of your service background.

I was in the US Air Force from 1969 to 1973. This is me sometime in mid 1969,
about 100 pounds lighter, on my way to MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL from Sheppard AFB,
Wichita Falls, TX with a stop over at home in Chatfield, Ohio.

Both grandpas were WWII vets. Air Force and Army. Brother was Navy.

Thanks to all that served. Without our military I would not be able to enjoy the things I do.

We have the best country because of the veterans.

Thanks your service to all men and women that have or are currently serving our country.

My family have served our nation for many generations. We had an distant direct relative Tennessee volunteer fight in the Battle of New Orleans during the War of 1812 whom was mortally wounded and died on the way back home. Some relatives in the Civil War (both sides). My grandfather was in WWI, dad and uncles in WWII, uncles in Korea and Viet Nam. I served in the Submarine Service on Boomers as a Torpedomans Mate and Scuba Diver from 1971-1975.

Best of luck to you all!

To all the Veterans, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I, my family and friends enjoy freedoms that we are granted only because of your Sacrifice. Dad is a Vietnam veteran. Again, thank you ! :old_glory:
