Crown of the Continent

Skipped opening weekend of archery to take my parents to Glacier NP. We (I) drove my dad's Nissan Rogue east to west through park yesterday then we stayed in Kalispell last night.

There is one less whitetail doe east of Bigfork as of 8:30 AM this morning. This makes the trip home a little more complicated for them. I may be driving the Nissan back to IL myself once it's fixed.

I think just as many deer and antelope get hit during the daylight hours here as night time, we have way too many deer in most of Montana and it will get worse as a lot of guys including myself won't hunt them anymore, too many showing up with CWD. I won't take the chance not for stinking deer meat.

Definitely gonna be interesting to see what happens to pine goat populations as CWD really takes off here in the next upcoming years and decades. My wife is a neurologist; she beat the “CWD isn’t a big deal” right out of me.

A couple of local doctors are now talking about several Native Indians from the close by reservation that got CWD from deer and died a slow painful death not in their right mind. It took over 10 yrs. to hear from them as I believe the F and G told them or maybe even paid them to keep quiet. I also believe that the F and G will lose the sale of deer tags more and more every year until the clowns have to drive the same trucks for more that 2 yrs. before they climb their under worked butts into a new one.
