Just When I Thought Hunting Season Was Over...

Post by dsunday »

....my neighbor informed me there is a juvenile sasquatch in the area! He also believes an adult is present as he has found scat.

Any preferred methods to scout? What about calls? Bait?

I would prefer to take him alive.

P.s. the neighbor might be on meth. Idk

BF arm bones make a killer call. Also can make them out of cow bones. But the most realistic sounds come from the calls made from a biatch Big Foots arm bones.

I don't think they are a protected species so baiting is legal. If your into that then I'd suggest beef jerky. I don't recommend a blind or a decoy. You probably want to be as mobile as possible. And TSS is a must.

You're lucky. It's a draw tag here, and you have to have a TV subscription to Animal Planet.

Pretty sure it's just another case of mistaken identity...my sister in law has been out & about lately. If it has hair below the second joint of every finger, it's her. Sorry for disturbance. Set a bucket of chicken out and she'll eat, then go nap.

Not really a big deal to have a Yahoo around. Our dogs used to tree them pretty often when we were squirrel hunting back when I was a kid. I can still see my grandfather hurrying to our dogs barking treed, only to get there and yell out in disappointed voice, "It's a dadgum Yahoo!". He didn't like to shoot them out because the dogs would stink for days after tangling with one.

My dogs caught this one a few years ago. They were so quick that they caught him before he could make it to the tree.

Boys, down here in South Florida we have the Skunk Ape sub species. When hunting during deer season and camping in swamp spots we could hear them howl during the night. We hang Jack Link's in a tree away from camp to keep them entertained and let us sleep. There's even a Skunk Ape Museum and Research Center near Big Cypress Preserve.

Must be true! Read about them on the Internet!
