Well...unless that’s a proper fraction, you could be part of the problem ;)
If by a proper fraction you mean legal then yes sir it is a proper fraction

I don't know what ground Roy hunts, but I could totally believe that possible. This year I've called in 14, know a guy at 20-21, and another guy at 30ish. And those are birds down. If Roy is counting birds called in, not necessarily birds shot, in an area with a lot of birds where calling in multiple birds at once is common- I could really see calling in 56 in a spring fairly consistently. Or if he hunts with more than one or two other hunters in a day, travels to more states than most people get to, and has time to really hunt, not just putting in an hour or two before work- then yeah 56 is doable.

So much of this game is the ground that you hunt. I hunt some tracts where I pray to hear a gobble. That's a good day- at least then you know there really is one in the woods, not just sign left by ghosts. I also hunt other ground where I expect to have 3-6 just hammering each morning. And I've been invited to ground where you might hear 15 from one spot. And all that ground just a few miles apart. My expectations and standards of a "quality" hunt vary widely depending on where I hunt.

I knew a guy once that had a "buddy" like that,...one day the "buddy" just disappeared. Strange, they still haven't found his body. ....Just sayin'...
The guy told me one day after the "incident",..."ya know, you reach a point in life where life in prison isn't really all that much of a deterrent".
After that, until he died, I made absolutely certain to keep my nose clean around him. :D

So he killed a guy because he abused the game limits?

I guess we'll never know. ...Makes you wonder if it's worth an extra turkey or two to take the chance, doesn't it?... Some folks take this stuff way too seriously.
Urban legend has it that the guy's ghost still wanders the woods looking for poachers... :toothy7:

I think he forgot his password and just created a new account. Goes by JRL now.
