well it must be age

Post by willie »

i fooled with a gobbler this morning until 9:30.i had him 45 yards of me for 45 minutes.he would gobble about every 5 minutes and wouldn't directly answer at no time the whole morning.he would gobble just to let me know he was still there at that time around 8 o'clock.he went silent as i did and 20 minutes went by and all of a sudden he gobbled 3 times right in my lap.all i could see was bits and pieces of him from time to time.i did a very soft cluck followed by a little scratching in leaves and he gobbled again which just about took my head off (35 yards) and still couldn't get the shot.things went silent again for 10 minutes and he was just standing there peeking i think cause i couldn't see but a small section of him.10 more minutes and my butt was screaming with pain and i knew i couldn't flinch.well i finally have to shift my butt and i snapped a twig and it was all over but the crying .believe me i really really tried to mind block the pain but i couldn't.
