At 5 this evening, I looked out thee kitchen window & saw a few deer back in the corn field.
It was 5 with the WC at -10 so I only took a few pics. By the time I got back to the house,
my cheeks were starting to hurt pretty badly. There were only 9 & I think they’re all does
this time. There will have to be a heckuva lot more before I’ll get out when it’s this cold!!!!

when I was a teenager I read a hunting magazine and said deer will stand up in a thicket if you were to whistle.
that fall I shot a buck that was chasing a doe around a thicket and I whistled, he stood up and looked. I whistled again and I was ready the 2nd time and killed him. Will never forget that

I've seen deer get up & kick other deer but this 1 just stood there like that for several seconds.

I have whistled up whistle pigs & they stood up until they didn't, if ya know what I'm saying!!
