159.25 with a cloth tape. I didn’t think it was that nice when I shot him. I figured 145+
I guessed 150 congratulations again

guesswho wrote: November 19th, 2018, 7:53 am Ooooh, good one. Congrats. But there is a new rule on deer size. 1st shot no deduction. Starting with the second shot there is a 50% deduction with each additional pull of the trigger on antler score and body weight.
:LMAO: :LMAO:

Nice buck Brice!!! .243 or a 6mm can be bad news for a deer with the right bullet! I like handloading Barnes 80 grain TTSX bullets.
That's what we shoot, best bullet

I had told TJ about my miss.. he told me I best shoot it to see how far it was off.

I called him yesterday and told him I shot my rifle. He asked how far off it was. I told him I tested it on wide glide and it was dead on.

Congratulations. Never used the .243 for deer but run a 55 grain Nolser Ballistic Tip with IMR 4064 out of Winchester brass for woodchucks and it just eats them up. (I do not remember how many grains of powder) I do have some Winchester 110 grain bullets for deer for it but have never used them.

soon I will be loading some Barnes and some of the Sierra Varminters for testing
but these Winchester DeerSeason XP's shoot so good it might be hard to hunt with something else unless the something else just flat shoots

Understandable, this Nosler load has shot all three shots touching from the very first time we tested them so I have never bothered to try anything else. Like they say if it's not broke then don't fix it. This was the middle load as suggested at that time, when released we had to call Nosler because there was no info on the projectile in the book yet.
