Meet Finley. At 6 weeks and just under 5lbs, she's already navigating the stairs, which means she's hard to keep up with already. Yall wish me luck.

Cute little thing. Is she a lab? Her hair looks a little on the curly side.

Ah yes! I love those spaniels. I had a springer that was crazy good. Absolutely loved to hunt partridge and pheasants. Dang. I miss her!

Elevate. Anything you don't want chewed--shoes, boots, etc.-- keep out of her reach. You've been warned. ;) Crate training is golden, too. Gil

8 years ago when I got my first Britt, Abby, there was a published estimate of damage done by a chewing dog that spends time in the house. The average was $750. I think we exceeded that. Also, think twice about rawhide toys. I've heard more than one story of surgeons having to cut one out of a dog's GI tract after they softened and unraveled the "bone" though chewing and woofed it down blocking the GI tract. And don't believe a label that says "chew proof" on a chew toy. My MuttPak goes to town on antler sheds and indestructible Kongs filled with frozen peanut butter. Just when you think she's past the chewing stage, say good-bye to boots left on the floor where she can get out of them. While in the house, never let her roam into another room without someone following her. Great photo. She's saying "don't believe a word they say about me. You can leave shoes and socks on the floor..." Gil

Congrats on your new Boykin. One of my best buddies has two. One's 9 years old and the other is 7 months old. His 9 year old is one of the best duck dogs I've ever seen. Have fun.
