Anyone else here make anything besides cowboy coffee?

We have a Nespresso and it makes a decent coffee. Better than camp fire coffee in my point of view.

Have to watch how much caffeine I drink as it will really kick my blood pressure into overdrive

This coffee is awesome. I buy online and have shipped. I have tried many small coffee companies buying on Amazon.

Mostly use an AeroPress for coffee here. Makes a concentrate. Low acid. Dilute with hot water to taste, or not.
Nothing breakable, easy to travel with or take to camp. We get our coffee from a local roaster that
specializes in dark roasts.

When camping we use an old percolator pot with Folger's Breakfast Blend or donut shop style knockoff.

For my afternoon nap avoider I like Cafe Bustelo for espresso shots or cafe con leche

For the past 18 years I've used a 10 cup Moccamaster by Technivorm out of the Netherlands. It uses a #4 Merlita filter and makes a great cup of coffee. I go through a 12 oz. bag of coffee every 4 days. There's a local roaster that knows how to roast a dark coffee without giving it a burned taste. I replaced the carafe it came with for one a vacuum one by Thermos/Nissan. A good way to ruin a pot of coffee is to leave a carafe on a hotplate for it to cook. I don't care what coffee costs. I am going to buy it regardless of expense. It's one of the few vices I can talk about and openly embrace. Don't believe a word that lying goat says. ;) Gil

I love to try local roasters when I travel the country. One of the best I have tried was when my wife and I went down for the 4th and meet up with Tommy (shooter) his wife and Vettedude. My wife and I stayed near Franklin and we got to try Honest Coffee Roasters espresso. I definitely will be going back and buying some to bring home next trip down there.

as far as donuts go.. we have 2 donut companies I would bet against others states donuts on taste.

One is Finger Hut Donuts and the other is called "Amish Crack" for a nickname. its true name is Rise & Roll.

At home, usually the ol' Mr COffee. Maybe the Keurig. French press when I have time to spare.
At work, or when backpacking, I have a press that doubles as an insulated cup.
When I'm front country camping, I have a 48 oz REI press I use.

I met some folks in Indonesia last year who have a palm civet they feed ripe coffee beans to, then feed it a bunch of papaya to make their own Luwak coffee. It's supposed to be some of the best tasting, most expensive coffee in the world. I'm not a coffee drinker, so it would be wasted on me. Those who enjoy coffee say it tastes great, even though it passed through a civet first.
